What the Medium Business of the Year Award Represents
The Medium Business of the Year award is one of the GHCC’s highest honors. It recognizes a company that has demonstrated exceptional business performance, meaningful contributions to Georgia’s economy, and a strong commitment to the Hispanic community. Award recipients are selected from among Georgia’s most distinguished Hispanic-owned and Hispanic-led businesses, evaluated on criteria including growth trajectory, workforce impact, innovation, and community investment.
Being selected for this award places J&I Cordon Electric in the company of Georgia’s most impactful businesses — leaders who are not only building successful enterprises but also lifting their communities and setting a standard for what Hispanic entrepreneurship looks like in the American South.
A Reflection of Our Team’s Dedication
For Oscar Cordon, President & CEO of J&I Cordon Electric, this award is a reflection of a simple but unwavering belief: that doing the right work, the right way, for the right reasons will always speak for itself. From the earliest days of the company, the vision has been to build something lasting — an electrical contracting business grounded in integrity, technical excellence, and genuine care for the people and communities it serves.
That vision has been realized one project, one team member, and one client relationship at a time. Today, J&I Cordon Electric stands as a trusted partner for commercial, industrial, and infrastructure electrical work throughout Georgia — and this recognition from the GHCC is a powerful affirmation that the work matters.
We are deeply grateful to the Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for this honor, and we remain committed to the values that earned it: quality, reliability, community, and pride in the work we do every single day.
